Description
Whaitber East Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with an extension added around the 1830s. It features a pebbledash exterior with painted stone dressings and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays arranged in a central staircase plan. It has a plinth and the entrance is located to the right of centre, accessed through a gabled Tuscan porch supported by two columns and two engaged pilasters. Above the entrance is an open pediment with a round head, a glazed round-headed fanlight, and a six-panel door. All windows have plain surrounds, projecting sills, and are fitted with sashes. There is one window to the right of the door on the ground floor, three to the left, and four on the upper floor. The farmhouse also features quoins, shaped modillions, kneelers, and gable end coping, with gable end and right of centre ridge stacks. The left-hand bay is now part of the adjoining Whaitber Farmhouse.
