Description
Street House Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1768, likely designed by John Carr for the Earl of Holderness. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a pantile roof. The building features seven bays and is two storeys high, except for the outer bays, which rise to three storeys. There is a 20th-century six-panel door on the right side.
The central three bays project forward as a full-height canted bay, which includes round-arched sashes with glazing bars set in round-arched brick recesses, complete with stone impost bands. These central bays are flanked by similar blind recesses. The outer bays also project forward to form square towers, featuring similar windows and recesses as the central bays. On the first floor, there are twelve-pane casements with flat brick arches and stone sills. The outer bays have dentilled cornices and bands. Each outer bay has a round opening on the second floor with a 20th-century casement and dentilled cornices. The central and outer bays have hipped roofs, and there is a large octagonal central stack. The rear elevation is similar to the front, with comparable openings on the side elevation of the towers.
