Description
The Former Bay Horse Public House is a pair of houses built in the late 18th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed limestone and sandstone, topped with a 20th-century pantile roof. It has two storeys and features four windows on the first floor.
On the left side, there are steps leading to a four-panel door set beneath a wooden lintel, accompanied by a canted bay window and a three-light Yorkshire sash window with shutters, along with a blocked window to the right. On the right side, steps lead to a four-fielded-panel door with a divided overlight, flanked by sash windows with glazing bars and shutters, all set beneath keyed wedge lintels. The first floor has two three-light Yorkshire sashes and one blocked window on the left, and two sashes with glazing bars on the right, all beneath keyed lintels. The building features gable coping, shaped kneelers, and stacks at both ends and along the ridge.
