Description
The Hollies is a house built in the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed limestone and has a pantile roof. The building features two ranges beneath an M-shaped roof, with a central hallway entry. It has two storeys and three bays, along with a single-storey service extension to the left.
The main entrance includes a six-fielded-panel door set within a doorcase that has fluted pilasters and consoles, and it is flanked by four-pane sash windows beneath keyed wedge lintels. The extension has a two-light fixed window also beneath a keyed wedge lintel. On the first floor, there is a band that carries a round-headed six-pane sash window beneath a keyed channelled arch, flanked by additional four-pane sashes with keyed wedge lintels. The building features gable coping, shaped kneelers, and end stacks.
