Description

Hornsey Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with a pantile roof. The building has a direct entry and an outshut at the rear. It stands two storeys high and features two first floor windows. The entrance includes a six-panel door flanked by two-light Yorkshire sash windows, all set beneath wedge lintels. On the first floor, there are squat two-light Yorkshire sashes beneath wooden lintels. The house has end stacks, and the interior retains original transverse beams along with three early 19th century fire grates.
