Description

This limekiln, dating from the early 19th century, is located approximately 200 metres north of Manor Farmhouse in Nether Silton. It is constructed from large blocks of coursed stone and is set into a slope, with an approach from the rear. The structure features an arched recess with holes at the back, and its sides are tapered. There is a circular hole at the top of the kiln. The site is currently overgrown.
