Description

Milepost approximately 100 metres to the north of Bridge Farmhouse is a listed structure from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular section with a hollow back and a sloping top plate. The raised lettering on the top plate indicates 'LONDON 217', while the left plate originally displayed 'EASINGWOLD' (with the mileage now removed), and the right plate shows 'THIRSK 3'.
