Description

This milepost, located a quarter of a mile south of New Road, dates from the 19th century. It is made of cast iron and painted white, featuring raised black lettering. The milepost has a triangular shape and displays the following inscriptions: on the upper face, it reads 'LONDON 213'; on the north face, it says 'EASINGWOLD'; and on the south face, it indicates 'THIRSK 7'.
