Description
This sundial, located approximately 10 metres to the west of Hollin Hall, dates back to 1681. It is made of gritstone and bronze. The pillar stands about 80 centimetres high and features a crudely-cut base. The square shaft has roll moulding and inscriptions on each face of the upper part. The east face reads 'FEAR', the north face reads 'THOU', the west face reads 'RBAN', and the south face reads 'MNY'. The sundial is marked with the inscription 'LORD ODOC 1681'.
