Description

These are two late 19th-century buildings, numbers 21 and 22 Hall Garth, constructed from coursed stone with ashlar dressings to the windows and left quoins. The buildings have two storeys and attics, topped with a pantile roof. Number 21 has one modern dormer window, while number 22 has a gabled dormer. There are four windows in total, featuring no glazing bars. The ground floor incorporates two shallow canted bays, each with a dentil cornice. The doors are of six panels and are accessed by steps. The doorways feature plain pilasters with carved brackets that support a moulded entablature, continuous with that of the two bays. These buildings are part of a larger group that includes numbers 1 to 3, The Horseshoe Public House, numbers 5 to 13 (Ivyleigh), and number 15, along with numbers 16 to 22. Numbers 1 to 3, 5 and 6 within this group are considered buildings of local interest.
