Description

Nos 16 and 17 Hall Garth are late 18th or early 19th century buildings constructed of coursed stone with a pantile roof and brick stacks. They are two storeys high with attics, and have three windows. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars, with stone lintels; two lintels have incised keystones. The ground floor entrance is a panelled door with six fielded panels, a rectangular fanlight, and a single window with glazing bars. A canted bay window of the early 19th century with hung sashes and glazing bars is also present on the ground floor, accessed by steps. A modern dormer has been added to No 16. Nos 16 and 17 form a group with Nos 1-3, Nos 5-13 and No 15, Hall Garth, along with The Horseshoe Public House. Nos 1-3, Nos 5 and 6 are buildings of local interest.
