Description
Skythorns Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered over time. It is constructed of slobbered rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and follows a two-unit baffle entry plan. The front of the farmhouse has been significantly changed, with the doorway likely moved to the left, but it still retains a 5-light double chamfered stone mullion window on the right side of the ground floor. At the rear, facing the lane, there is a small 2-light chamfered window. Inside, the farmhouse has stop-chamfered beams and a large segmental arched fireplace with a chamfered surround, which includes recesses that may have been used for an oven and a cupboard. Additionally, there is a triangular headed chamfered doorway that has been relocated to the passage between the rooms from the north wall.
