Description
The Old Vicarage is a mid-19th century vicarage that has been converted into a private house. It features split cobbles with ashlar dressings and a Westmorland slate roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays, with the two end bays slightly projecting forward as gabled wings. It has quoins and a panelled door located to the left of centre, set in a Gothic arch with a shield above and flanking narrow lights. Cross windows are present throughout the structure, and there is a small dormer in the centre of the roof, likely from the same period. The Vicarage is probably contemporary with the Church of Saint John, which was built in 1841. The interior has not been inspected.
