Description

The front wall with gate piers and gates to the Manor House is a structure from the mid to late 18th century. It features coursed squared limestone, ashlar, and wrought iron. The wall is approximately 1.5 metres high and 50 metres long, ramping up to the right and topped with pointed coping. The gate piers stand about 2.5 metres high, each adorned with a deep moulded cornice and a base that originally had a ball and cushion finial, although the balls are now missing. The gates consist of two leaves with bars and dogbars, each topped with small spear-head finials and cross-braces on the lower part, also featuring a ramped top.
