Description

Westcott is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick in a random bond pattern, with ashlar details and a stone slate roof. The house has two storeys and three windows on the first floor. It features chamfered stone quoins and a band running around the first floor. The central entrance has a part-glazed six-panel door set in an alternate quoined surround, with a large channelled stone lintel above. Flanking windows are present on both floors; these are 16-pane sashes in flush wood architraves, with stone sills and incised lintels. A small 9-pane sash window is located centrally on the first floor, also in a similar surround. The eaves have a wooden dentilled cornice, and there are stone kneelers, ashlar gable copings, and end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
