Description
Ravensworth Lodge and the attached outbuilding are a house and outbuilding from the mid-19th century, constructed of coursed rubble with dressed stone, featuring Welsh slate and stone slate roofs. The house is two storeys high and has three bays, with quoins at the corners. It has a central six-panel door set in an ashlar surround, topped with an open slab pediment that has a central finial supported by brackets. The windows are 16-pane sash types with projecting sills and deep lintels. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has ashlar coping, with end stacks that have been rebuilt in white brick. To the left of the house is a single-storey outbuilding, which may have been a forge. This outbuilding has quoins on the left side, a shuttered window with a projecting sill to the left of a stable door, both featuring deep lintels. On the right side, there are board-leaved doors in a quoined surround, with coping and a chimney to the left, and it also has a stone slate roof.
