Description
Old Manor House is a building that was originally two cottages, now converted into a single house. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and was altered and refronted in 1878, as indicated by a datestone. The front is made of hammer-dressed sandstone, while the sides and rear are constructed from coursed rubble sandstone. The roof is covered with pantiles and features brick stacks.
The house is two stories high with a four-window front. There is a 20th-century board door located at the center left. The ground floor has 20th-century cross windows, and the first floor has inserted flat dormers, all fitted with diamond lattice casements. Each window has painted stone sills, and the ground-floor openings are topped with painted roughly-tooled lintels that have incised keystones. The datestone in the center reads: "OLD MANOR HOUSE REBUILT 1878." There are stacks at the end right, center, and center left. The building is included for its group value.
