Description

Holme House is an early 19th-century house situated on the east side of Cropton High Street. It has a 20th-century porch. The house is constructed from squared limestone with hammer-dressed sandstone quoins, and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. It’s arranged with a central entrance and is one and a half rooms deep, with an outshut.

The front façade is two storeys high and has a two-window arrangement. A single-storey projecting porch stands to the front. The main entrance is a board door with a divided overlight, set within the gabled porch. The windows throughout are 16-pane sashes, with painted stone sills and lintels. The roof has coped gables and shaped kneelers, and there are end stacks. The porch itself is not considered to be of particular architectural interest.
