Description
The gate piers, dating from the 18th century, are located approximately 8 metres north of the north-east corner of the walled garden at Norton Conyers House. They are constructed from red ashlar sandstone and have a rectangular section, standing about 4 metres high. The piers feature a chamfered plinth and a trefoil-headed recessed panel that is pierced by a cruciform aperture, topped with a cornice. The south face of the piers shows significant wind scouring.
