Description
The Gatehouse at Giggleswick School, dated 1901 and designed by T G Jackson, serves as the entrance to the linesman's cottage and sports field. It is constructed from rubble brought to course and features a Westmorland slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The entrance, located to the right of centre, has a four-centre arch with a moulded surround and wooden gates, topped by an iron lantern. To the left, there is another entrance with a moulded surround and a decorated lintel that is dated. Under the eaves, there are two small three-light mullioned windows. The roof is steeply pitched and includes three round gable-end stacks on the left, a round ridge stack to the right of centre, and a square ridge stack on the right-hand gable end.
