Description
The Green is a schoolhouse built in the early 19th century, with alterations from 1851 and the late 19th century. It features slobbered rubble brought to course with stone dressings. The right-hand gable end belongs to the early 19th-century block, which has ground floor and upper floor windows with plain surrounds and casements. The 1851 extension on the left is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance, located to the right of centre, has a moulded surround and a decorated lintel inscribed with "I M"; it features a segmental head and a plank door. There are three ground floor and three upper floor windows with ovolo mullions and 6-pane casements. The two right-hand bays have eaves modillions, while the left bay, which is a later 19th-century addition, does not. There are ridge stacks to the right of centre and to the left.
