Description
Anteforth House and attached screen walls are a house and screen walls dating from the early to mid-19th century. The building is constructed of coursed sandstone and features a pantile roof with stone slates at the eaves. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with quoins and openings that have deep lintels. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight above it. The windows are four-pane sash types with projecting sills, and there is ashlar coping along the top. The house has end stacks. To the left, there is an attached screen wall with ashlar coping that sweeps down towards the left. At the rear right corner, there is another screen wall featuring a round-arched carriageway with leaved board doors and a blocking in the tympanum above the lintel.
