Description
Deepdale is a house built in the mid-18th century, likely designed by Matthew Ward according to records from the Swinton estate. The building is constructed of stone, rendered, with ashlar dressings, and features a graduated stone slate roof. It has two bays and three storeys, with a plinth at the base.
The entrance consists of a six-panel door beneath a fanlight that has radiating glazing bars, framed by a stone surround with imposts, two raised voussoirs, and a double keystone. To the right of the door is a sash window with glazing bars, while to the left is a 16-pane sash window. At the far left, there is a basket-arched carriageway. An impost band runs above the entrance.
On the first floor, there are three sash windows with glazing bars. The second floor features a band and two 4-pane sash windows. All windows have plain stone surrounds with raised sills, except for the window above the carriageway. There is an end stack located to the left of the building.
