Description

Cogden House is a mid 18th-century house, likely designed by Matthew Ward, located on the south side of Masham Market Place. It is constructed of stone, with a rendered finish and ashlar dressings, topped by a graduated stone slate roof. The building features three storeys and three bays, with a plinth at the base. The ground and first floors have quoins and 4-pane sash windows with stone sills. A band runs along the second floor. The pediment at the top projects forward and includes a central lunette window with glazing bars and a stone surround. There are stacks at both ends of the building.
