Description

The Post Office, number 47 High Street, Stokesley, is an early 19th-century building that has been altered. The front is rendered with a small bracketed eaves cornice. It has a swept pantiled roof with a stone coping to the right and kneeler details, and a tall brick chimney. The building is three storeys high with two windows, and now features modern top-opening lights. There is a modern shop front. The building is included in the listing primarily because of its integral relationship with numbers 45 and 45a.
