Description
No. 41 High Street is an early 18th-century building that likely had its roof raised in the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick in Flemish bond and features a roof covered with plain clay tiles, stone copings, and kneelers, although the chimneys have been lost. The building has a bracketed eaves cornice and displays a Queen Anne front with Regency trim. It stands three storeys tall and has four windows, with gauged segmental brick arches and keystones above the sash windows, some of which have glazing bars. On the left side of the first floor, there is a canted bay supported by fluted pilasters and an entablature. Below, there is a projecting early 20th-century shop, and to the right, a yard door.
