Description

This barn, located approximately 5 metres to the west of Crakehall House, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of rubblestone with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof. The barn has two blind doorways with quoined surrounds and keystones, and a large central buttress. Other openings have been later added or blocked up. The barn also has shaped kneelers and stone coping. It is an important part of the local townscape.
