Description
The Saxon cross-shaft, located approximately 3 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St John the Baptist in Stanwick, is likely from the 9th century. It is made of sandstone and stands about 500 millimetres high, featuring a rectangular plan with interlace decoration. The shaft is set on a square base.
