Description
No. 45, Quay Street is a building dating to the 15th and 16th centuries, situated on a corner plot facing Quay Street. The north end of the building presents timber framing with herringbone brick nogging, with the north front at ground floor level plastered over. It has a modern tile roof. The design is irregular, with the first floor of the west front oversailing, supported by a moulded bressumer and corner bracket. A single leaded iron casement is visible on the first floor of the west front, and an early 19th-century canted bay window with a modern door to the left is situated at the centre of the ground floor of the west front. Two small casements are present on the ground floor of the north front. The remainder of the building has been modernised.
