Description

This 18th-century outbuilding, located at the rear of No. 38 High Street in Stokesley, may have originally served as a small chapel. It features large coursed stone at the base and pinkish brick above. The roof is pantiled, adorned with stone copings and kneelers. The building stands two storeys tall, with a round arched doorway on the first floor, showcasing finely cut stone jambs and voussoirs. The ground floor has an opening with a heavy stone lintel and a semi-circular relieving arch. There is a blocked window on the first floor and a six-panel door on the east face.
