Description

This outbuilding, dating from the 18th century, is located to the north of number 38 on High Street in Stokesley. The structure features a massive squared stone ground floor and a brick first floor, topped with a pantiled roof. A large ground floor doorway is adorned with a shouldered arch and a heavy lintel, which includes a fluted keystone. There is a later loading door and an original window situated above it. Modern garage doors are present on the east return of the building. This outbuilding is included as part of an 18th-century group surrounding a cobbled yard, and a stone wall runs northeastward, defining the entrance to the yard.
