Description
No. 25 Market Place is a shop building from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and stands three storeys high with three bays. In the centre, there are two 20th-century glazed shop doors set beneath flat arches made of rubble voussoirs. To the left, there is a plate-glass shop window framed in a 19th-century style with heavy consoles, while to the right is another 20th-century shop window. On the first and second floors, sash windows are positioned below flat arches of rubble voussoirs; the central bay features blind sash windows that are painted to resemble sash windows with glazing bars. The building has end stacks and is included for its group value.
