Description
No. 27 is a shop located in the Market Place, built in the early 19th century. It features coursed rubble construction and a stone slate roof. The building has three storeys and three bays. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century six-panel door set beneath flat arches made of stone voussoirs. To the left, there is an early 20th-century canted bay window, while to the right, there is a 19th-century shop window supported by heavy consoles that carry a frieze. The first and second floors have sash windows, also set beneath flat arches of stone voussoirs, with the central bay being blind. The building has end stacks and is included for its group value.
