Description

The Slater Memorial, located approximately six metres south of the porch of the Church of St John the Baptist in Stanwick, is a tombstone dedicated to Richard Slater. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of ashlar sandstone. The memorial features a rounded top with a ball finial and includes a depiction of a skull and cross-bones. The worn inscription is flanked by pilasters that support a frieze.
