Description
Fiddling Clough is a derelict farmhouse, cottage, and possible workshop, dating from the late 18th century and 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high, except at the left end where the crossfall creates three storeys. The oldest section is at the right end, which features a symmetrical front with a plain stone surround to the doorway and a pitched stone hood. There are recessed square mullion windows with three lights on each side and four lights above. The building has gable stacks. The left end has flush square mullion windows and consists of three bays, lacking stacks. The third bay projects slightly and is heavily quoined, indicating that the fourth bay, which has similar detailing, is an infill.
