Description
The White Lion Hotel is a public house built in 1681. It features a pebble dash exterior with stone coping springers and kneelers on the right gable. On the ground floor, there is a three-light window, although the centre mullion has been lost and replaced with a sash window, and a six-light window with a king mullion. The first floor includes a three-light window with ovolo mullions and a two-light window with cavetto mullions, which was formerly a four-light window. All windows have returned drip labels, with the labels above the six-light window being particularly wide. The central door is plain, and there is a panel at the eaves inscribed with "IOSHVA : LANE/WINDLE : IVNE/RB 1681 IB."
