Description

This building, located to the north of Hard Head Farmhouse, was originally a farmhouse but is now used as a store. It dates from the mid to late 17th century and is constructed of squared rubble with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. The building has a two-cell plan and is two storeys high with a double front.

The central entrance features a chamfered surround and a Tudor arched lintel, leading to a plank door. On the left side, there are two-light chamfered mullioned windows on each storey. To the right, there is a ground floor two-light chamfered window with an inserted flat-faced mullion, although the left-hand light is now blocked. On the upper floor to the right, there is a plain loft entrance with a plank door. The left-hand gable end has a ridge stack. At the rear of Hard Head Farmhouse, there is a reused entrance with chamfered jambs and a decorated lintel inscribed with "I 1668 D."
