Description
The building is a hall constructed in the mid-19th century. It features pink and cream mottled brick laid in English garden-wall bond, with sandstone steps and dressings. The hall has a steeply pitched slate roof, characterized by a stone-coped gable, shaped kneelers, and a roll-moulded finial.
The front of the building is gabled and consists of one storey and an attic, set on a tall triple-chamfered plinth. It has three narrow bays that are recessed beneath a semicircular arch with a hoodmould. Access is provided by two steps leading up to double board doors, which are flanked by tall six-pane windows with sloped sills. Each window is recessed within a square-headed panel that has a shouldered lintel. Above the doors, there are paired tall windows with chamfered lintels, and above these is a circular window featuring lobed glazing bars.
A moulded cornice runs across the outer bays, stepping up in the centre above the circular window. At the apex of the gable, there is a band of herringbone brickwork situated between stone string courses, which is interrupted in the centre by a stone panel that is pierced with a quatrefoil design.
