Description

Nos 9 and 11 in Market Place is a mid-18th century building that now serves as two shops. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a Welsh slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and features three bays. The central entrance has a 19th-century six-panel door with a four-pane overlight, framed by pilasters on plinths, a frieze with decorative paterae at each end, and a cornice above. Each side has a 20th-century shopfront. On the first floor, there are sash windows with stone cills and flat brick arches, while the second floor also has sash windows with stone cills. The building is topped with dentilled eaves and has a stack at the right end.
