Description

Nos 5, 5A, and 7 in Market Place are a mid-18th century building that now contains two shops. The structure is made of red brick laid in Flemish bond and features a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and has five bays. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door topped with a Gothick overlight, framed by an architrave with a frieze and pediment. On either side of the entrance are 20th-century shopfronts. The first and second floors have cill bands, and all windows are fitted with sashes that have stone cills and flat brick arches. The building has stepped, dentilled eaves, stone coping, and end stacks.
