Description

The boathouse on the island of Lower Fish Pond dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of gritstone rubble and features an arched opening with ashlar coping that can be seen from the opposite shore. The grounds surrounding the boathouse are believed to have been designed by the renowned landscape architect Capability Brown.
