Description

The Sutcliffe Gallery is an early 19th-century building located at 1 Flowergate on the south side. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof. The façade includes three windows with stone flat arches, double-hung sashes with glazing bars, and flush frames. The first-floor windows do not have glazing bars. There are modern shutters, a modern shop front, and tiled stall risers, along with remnants of 19th-century end pilasters. The gallery is named after a well-known photographer from late 19th-century Whitby.
