Description
The lodge and gateway to Hunmanby Hall was built in 1829 for Sir Humphrey Osbaldeston. It is constructed from vermiculated sandstone and features iron gates. The structure includes a ruined Gothic arch, which is flanked by two two-cell lodges. The tall pointed arch consists of three orders and is surrounded by walls. The building is two stories high and has a regular arrangement of windows. Within the arch, there are iron-studded doors on both the left and right, set in pointed openings beneath stopped hoodmoulds. To the left and right of the arch, there are two lancet windows with diamond-paned iron glazing bars, and there are single lancet windows on the first floor. The shaped iron gates are adorned with four painted iron armorial plaques.
