Description
Mill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed, squared chalk that has been white-washed, sitting on a brick plinth, with brick gable ends and red brick dressings. The roof is covered in pantiles and features brick stacks. The building has a central stairhall plan and is two rooms deep, with a symmetrical two-window front that is two stories high.
The façade includes brick quoins and a central panelled door with an overlight, flanked by 20th-century three-light horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars. There are two similar windows on the first floor, with a blocked window opening at the center. All openings are set in brick quoined surrounds, and the windows have cambered arches made of gauged brick. A raised brick band runs along the first floor, and there is a double dentilled brick eaves course. The steeply pitched roof has end stacks and tumbled brick gables.
