Description

No. 3 Bridlington Street is an early 18th-century house located off the north-east side of Bridlington Street in Hunmanby. Originally a three-cell dwelling with a hearth-passage plan, it later gained rear service wings. The structure is built of coursed, squared chalk, now whitewashed, with brick gable ends, brick quoins, a pantile roof, and rebuilt brick stacks. The building is single-storey with an attic. A 20th-century door occupies the original doorway to the right of the centre, while a more recent glazed door is located to the left, accompanied by a two-light, large-pane horizontal sliding sash window to the end left. Another similar window sits to the left of the original doorway. All windows feature thin timber lintels. A dormer window is visible, containing a three-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sash. A stepped brick eaves course runs around the building, and there are end and centre stacks. The gables feature tumbled brickwork.
