Description
Denmark House is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with later alterations. The front is made of colour-washed, rendered brick, while the left gable wall is colour-washed brick and the rear is whitewashed chalk. The roof is covered with pantiles and features brick stacks. The house has a central staircase plan and is one room deep, with a service outshut at the rear right. It is two stories tall and has a symmetrical front with four windows. The central entrance has a four-panel door with a divided overlight, sheltered by a tile and timber pent porch. On either side of the door are two four-pane sash windows with timber sills. The first floor has four similar windows, and at the center is a 20th-century square recessed panel featuring a raised relief of a buck's head. There is a raised band at the first floor level and a stepped brick eaves course. The house has one end stack and two stacks located left and right of the center. At the rear, there is a round-headed staircase window with radial glazing.
