Description

The Market Cross in Hunmanby is a medieval structure that underwent restoration in the 19th century. It is made of sandstone and features wrought iron elements. The cross has a tall, tapering shaft that stands on a chamfered plinth, elevated by stone steps, and is square in plan. At the top, there is a shallow dome crowned with a decorated wrought iron spearhead.
