Description

No. 35 Wheelgate is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed from pink and cream mottled brick in stretcher bond, with the front painted. It features a brick stack at the rear and a slate roof. The façade is three stories high and has two window openings. The shop front has plain pilasters and a cornice, with a 20th-century door and windows. On the first floor, there are cambered-arched four-pane sash windows, and on the second floor, there are similar but shorter windows, all with painted stone sills. The building also has a cogged brick eaves course.
