Description
Pear Tree House is a farmhouse built around 1800. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof, with two red brick gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a three-bay front with a central doorway that includes a six-panel door and an ornate glazing bar overlight. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows. Above the doorway, there is a central narrow sash window flanked by two wider glazing bar sashes. Inside, the house has a stick baluster staircase and three cast iron firegrates with wooden surrounds. The drawing room features round-headed alcoves with moulded surrounds. The interior also retains its original doors, door surrounds, coving, and shutters.
