Description

Nos. 43 and 45 Church Street is a house, now a pair of houses, dating from the late 17th century. It was raised and subdivided in the early 19th century and underwent renovation in 1946, as noted on a datestone. The building is constructed of coursed rubble, which is now whitewashed, and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. It is two stories high with a three-window front. The doors, which are from the 20th century, are set in plain surrounds, located at the end left and to the right of center. The windows are 16-pane sashes with stone sills, all featuring raised keyblock wedge lintels. There are stacks at the ends and to the left of center, contributing to the steeply-pitched roof.
